How do I create a new Google Drive file?

It is super easy.

Log into your Google account (or gmail).
In the top-right, click on the waffle (a square made up of 9 dots)
Click on “Drive”
In the top-left, click on “New”
Choose the type of file you want to create (Docs = document, Sheets = spreadsheet, Slide = presentation – like Powerpoint)
Separately, if you are creating a Doc, after logging into your account, go to: https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/ for some templates.
